B B: Nha Trang - beach and horrors to taste

Siccome del mare non ci si stanca mai ... decidiamo di continuare il nostro viaggio facendo sosta a Nha Trang, una delle città maggiormente turistiche del Vietnam.

Con le sue spiagge bianchissime, attività di diving, windsurfing, beachvolley, ecc ... non ci si può di certo annoiare. Una funivia collega, inoltre, la costa all'isola di Vinpearl, dove sorge un immenso parco acquatico.

La sera i locali e i bar si animano di turisti, più che in qualunque altra meta del Vietnam. Consiglio vivamente di visitarla in bassa stagione, tipo in questo periodo. Verso Dicembre, infatti, la città si riempie in maniera eccessiva di turisti, specialmente i Russi che hanno, in un certo senso, "conquistato" l'Isola, comprandovi bar, negozi e ristoranti.

Noi ci siamo rilassati tra spiaggia e partite a biliardo (forse sto cominciando ad imparare) e ... abbiamo anche avuto occasione di mangiare "specialità locali", in particolare: serpente e coccodrillo! Il serpente, per quanto sia buono nel gusto, possiede, ovviamente, poca carne da gustare davvero, mentre il coccodrillo ... si è rivelato una vera sorpresa ! Carne tenerissima e molto delicata ... ma come ho promesso alla mia amica Shraddha, che come ha visto le foto su Instagram mi ha immediatamente contattata, "lascerò i rettili in pace!".

DOVE DORMIRE

Noi abbiamo soggiornato al Mai Huy. La posizione è ottima, in centro e a pochi metri dal lungomare, le camere sono ampie e pulite e i prezzi modici.

Since we have never enough of the sea ... we decided to make a stop in Nha Trang, one of the most visited beach stations in Vietnam.

With its white sand beaches and lots of activities - like diving, windsurfing, beachvolley, etc ... you cannot get bored here. There's also a cableway connecting the shore with Vinpearl Island, where you will find a huge water amusement park.

During the evening, bars and restaurants become full of tourists, more than anywhere in Vietnam. That's why I highly recommend to go there in low season - as now. In high season the city become too touristic according to me, full of Russian people, who definitely bought the majority of bars, restaurants and boutiques there.

We chilled out on the beach for few days and we had fun playing pool as well (I'm finally learning how to do it) and ... we also had the chance to try some "local delights": snake and crocodile! I really loved the crocodile ... its meat is delicious and tender. The snake wasn't bad either, but few meat to eat ... but, as I promised to my friend Shraddha, who immediately texted me after seeing the pictures of this dishes on Instagram, !I will leave the reptiles in peace!".

ACCOMODATION SUGGESTIONS

We slept at the Mai Huy Hotel, which is in a very good position, in the city centre but few metres away from the beach too. Its rooms are spacious, clean and cheap.
