B B: Mui Né - Hitting the Dunes

Mui Né, un tempo semplice porto e villaggio di pescatori, negli ultimi anni ha conosciuto un boom turistico non indifferente. D'altronde, le sue splendide spiagge non potevano essere ignorate, ma, sopra ogni cosa, le stupende dune di sabbia che ci catapultano in un paesaggio improvvisamente desertico. Qualcosa che davvero non ti aspetti di vedere in Vietnam, dove fino a pochi km prima regnava la giungla più fitta.

Le dune principali da visitare sono due, una di sabbia rossa e una bianca. Entrambe meravigliose. Noi ci siamo divertiti a saltarci sopra come matti (volendo nelle dune rosse si può noleggiare una specie di slittino) e a girarci sopra in quad.

DA EVITARE

Nonostante Mui Né ci abbia fatti innamorare ... lo stesso, purtroppo, non si può dire della nostra sistemazione. Abbiamo soggiornato al Bien Dua Resort, ed è stata una grande delusione. Nonostante il posto si presentasse benissimo - è infatti molto bello, con giardino grande e vista mare - le camere erano sporche con lenzuola luride già al nostro arrivo e mai cambiate durante la permanenza e, ben peggio, piene di SCARAFAGGI. Il personale è, inoltre, scorretto e scortese. Al prezzo di 25$ a notte si può trovare molto di meglio. Online troverete facilmente recensioni che si lamentano per gli stessi problemi. Pazienza ... se non altro è stata l'unica volta ad andarci male (per ora almeno).

Se non altro la magia di Mui Né ci ha del tutto distratti da quest'inghippo ...

Mui Né, once a simple harbour and fishermen's village, has lately become one of the main beach destinations in Vietnam, due to its amazing beaches and, especially, to its wonderful sand dunes, which actually make you believe to be in the middle of desert, while, just few kilometres before, you were sorrounded by jungle.

There are two main dunes to visit there: one is white sand and the other is red. Both gorgeous. We had so much fun hitting the dunes (if you wish you can also rent a sort of sledding there) and riding the quad.

TO AVOID

Despite the beauty of Mui Né, unfortunately, for the first time, I really have to complain about the hotel where we stayed at: the Bien Dua Resort. When we arrived there we loved it, since the place is actually very nice, with a lovely garden and seaview. But we immediately had to change our mind. The bedroom was dirty, with dingy bed sheets as we arrived (and that they never changed during our stay there) and ... full of BEATLES! The staff is unpolite, unreliable and they try to cheat you as well. So I don't feel to suggest that place. Spending 25$ per night you can definitely find something better. I also read a lot of reviews online complaining about the same points.

At least ... Mui Né is so beautiful that we easily forgot about it.
