Hué - The imperial city

Visitare Hué significa fare un passo indietro nella Storia, a quella che, dal 1802 al 1945, fu la cosìddetta "epoca imperiale" e che vide questa città capoluogo del Vietnam.

Tra la Cittadella, dove si trova la vecchia residenza dell'imperatore, pagode e tombe imperiali, Hué non può che conquistare con il suo tipico fascino da città orientale, che racchiude anni di storia per noi occidentali spesso misteriosa e, forse proprio per questo, così affascinante.

Noi vi abbiamo soggiornato 2 giorni, presso il Google Hotel, che mi sento vivamente di consigliare, sia per l'ottima qualità, il prezzo decisamente economico , ma soprattutto per la simpatia del manager Iao. Forse il miglior hotel incontrato per ora in questo viaggio.

Visiting Huè means going back in the History, in the imperial ages (1802-1945), when this city was the capital of Vietnam.

Going around the ancient Citadel, where the emperor used to live, pagodas and the imperial tombs, you will fall in love with Hué. It's actually the typical oriental city with a very strong charm and a long history on its back, often mysterious for western people like us. Maybe that's why we loved it so much.

We spent there 2 days and I highly recommend Google Hotel, where we slept. The quality was very good and the price cheap, but the real strenght is the manager, Iao. He is so nice and helpful. It has been probably the best hotel where we have been so far during this trip.
