Terminata la paradisiaca settimana alle Isole Perhentian, ci mettiamo in viaggio verso la capitale malese, Kuala Lumpur, dove ci attende SweetEe, mandata appositamente dalla mia amica Joyce - che, in quanto fashion e lifestyle blogger molto famosa in Malesia, è sempre in giro per il mondo - per mostrarci la città e passare un po' di tempo insieme.
Abbiamo avuto l'onore di essere ospitati nella bellissima casa di Geraldine, la zia di Joyce nonché mio boss durante il mio tirocinio a Londra, nella quale ci ha fatto strada suo fratello Edward. Insomma ... un'accoglienza fantastica e super calorosa che spero di poter ricambiare il prima possibile.
Quelli a KL sono stati quattro giorni (e notti) bellissimi e molto intensi. E' una città con tanto da offrire, che combina uno stile praticamente futuristico con grattacieli altissimi e mega centri commerciali, tipico, insomma, delle nuovi metropoli, con diverse tradizioni culturali, principalmente quella malese e cinese.
Durante il nostro soggiorno abbiamo anche avuto la fortuna di assistere ad uno degli show della KL fashion week, grazie a Joyce e a SweetEe. Non avevo mai partecipato ad una sfilata di questi livelli prima d'ora e devo dire che è stata una bellissima esperienza!
Non mi resta che lasciarvi alle foto scattate tra le strade di KL, tra cui China Town e Little India, e ringraziare la splendida accoglienza ricevuta da Geraldine e suo marito Mark, Edward, Joyce, SweetEe e il suo amico Darren, che ci ha fatto davvero sentire come a casa.
After spending a lovely week at Perhentian Islans, although it was hard to leave such a beautiful place, we headed to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, where SweetEe was waiting for us to show us the city and spending some time together on behalf of my friend Joyce, who is always traveling all around the world due to her job (she is a fashion and lifestyle blogger well known in Malaysia).
Mark and Geraldine, Joyce's auntie and my Boss during my Internship in London as well, were so nice to accomodate us in their beautiful house, where Edward (Joyce's dad and Geraldine's brother) took care of us. They really welcomed us in such a lovely way ... I really hope I will have the chance to reciprocate this hospitality as soon as possible.
The 4 days spent in KL have been amazing and pretty busy too. There are so many things to do! And it's simply gorgeous to see how this city matches so many different styles: huge skyscrapers and shopping malls, typical of the biggest metropolis, with several cultural traditions as the Chinese and Malay ones.
During our stay we also had the amazing opportunity to attend a KL fashion week show, thanks to Joyce and SweetEe of course. I had never attended any fashion show like this before and it really was such a nice experience!

Edward ci ha portati fuori a pranzo il primo giorno in un ristorante cinese ed abbiamo provato lo squalo per la prima volta! Buono e saporito!
Edward took us out for lunch in a Chinese Restaurant and we tried the shark for the first time. Really tender and delicious!
